Recent internal data records more than $10 billion in land for sale in Colorado, which represents nearly 954,000 acres of land for sale in the state. Of the 64 counties in the state, Fremont County had the most rural property and land for sale. Based on comps submitted through the Lands of America Comparable Sales program in February, Colorado is among the country's top five states for land sold during the month. This reflects a change in sales activity over data from the month before. The most land sales in the state last month were had in Park County. Colorado ranks among the country's ten largest states in terms of size, covering an area of 104,100 square miles (67 million acres). In total, 103,642 square miles is land, while the remaining 452 square miles is made up of water. Game species to be found on land for sale in Colorado include mule deer, elk, bear, turkey, and grouse. Fishermen have their choice of trout, bass, pike, catfish, and salmon.
