Big Horn Sheep Ranch Tract 9 has a lot of neat features to offer.There are some really nice views from the area that we think will make a nice building site or camp site with a nice mixture of tall Ponderosa and Pinon Pines with Juniper trees in a setting that has a lot of neat Rock Outcroppings and small meadows. The property is really pretty easy to hike and in fact you can stroll around most of the 35 acres pretty easily.
From the many small meadow openings, to the beautiful tall ponderosa pines, rock outcroppings, old jeep trails and seasonal draws you will be so busy exploring this property every chance you get. The way this property is laid out you feels like it is much larger than it is. There are dramatic views from the rock outcroppings of the Sangre de Cristo mountains and the close up neighboring properties. Just incredible views to make you feel like you are in the Colorado Mountains. I really love the rock outcroppings on this property and some of the tall pines are just huge so you know they are old growth trees.
The feeling is that you are on a very remote ranch, yet there are full time and seasonal homes close by. Power is to the property line so hooking up to power will be easy depending on where you choose to build, if you do. You might just want to camp and enjoy.
Elk and deer are plentiful and there are plenty of other animal signs in addition from all the other mountain critters so if you are a hunter you will really like this property.
Note: If you are interested there is a 40 acre parcel just to the east of this parcel that might be available for sale that adjoins a small section of BLM land. You could combine these two parcels for 70-75 acres that border BLM for a really nice playground. Let us know if you are interested and we can check into the adjoining property. Turn on Mauricio Canyon Road which is about 3 miles west of Aguilar off of County Road 43.7. Go north about 5 miles to the tee in the road. Go right about one mile to the ranch entrance. Ranch is gated and requires code to enter. Please contact us or have your Realtor contact us to view this property. Parcel 9 is approximately 2 miles from the Ranch gate.
